the reason i choose these two pictures is that
when Kanye West began rapping a lot of people didn't
except in the black communities because of the way he dressed and what he would rap about.
where as an artist like DMX (aka Earl Simmons) would be embraced by the "hood" because he was the exact opposite.

I find this very intersting. DMX might have embraced the "hood" because it was apart of his environment, whereas Kanye wanted to go against some of those cliches.
